2016 has been a very good year for FMFA. We've taught well over 200 people the basics of the Scrum Framework through our private class offerings. We've put more than 100 people through our 6-week hands-on course offered in cooperation with the Silicon Valley Polytechnic Institute and the Coding Dojo of San Jose. We've conducted a successful trial run of a new way to help people with job interview skills. We've also on-boarded some exciting new Associates to broaden our capabilities.


Come learn the Jira Scrum tracking tool from internationally recognized expert Frederik M. Fowler. Mr. Fowler is one of only about 50 individuals in the United States to have earned the prestigious “Professional Scrum Expert” certification from the creators of Scrum at Scrum.org. Mr. Fowler has more than 30 years of software development experience, is a former Vice President and Chief Information Officer, and has introduced Jira to many organizations. He has trained many Scrum Masters and has guided companies through the transition from traditional methods to successful adoption of the Scrum Framework.


For 2017, we have some new offerings that are currently under development:

  • Scrum training leading to a Professional Scrum Product Owner level i (PSPO I) certification.
  • Scrum training leading to a Professional Scrum Developer (PSD) certification
  • QA theory, concepts and automation training (JUnit, Selenium, etc.).
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) training (Jenkins, etc.)
  • Job interview skills -- understanding the interview by playing the role of the hiring manager.
